Exeter Golf and Country Club has existed as a integral part of the community within Exeter and East Devon for over 81 years. Both the membership and staff support various charities, community organisations and local causes by hosting charitable events, golf society days, draws, bungee jumps and absailing.

Exeter Golf and Country Club’s newly elected Golf Captains’ Paul Smale and Viv Worthington are long standing members of Exeter Golf and Country Club, with Paul having been a member for over 46 years, since he was 5 years old, and Viv joining when she moved from Bolton with her husband Roger 16 years ago. The joint captains have selected the Torbay Holiday Helpers Network as their charity of the year and hope to be able to raise funds through a number of events ranging from Pro Am golf events to a sky dive. Children’s Hospice South West was presented with a cheque for £10,290 from the golf section of Exeter Golf and Country Club following a year long fund raising campaign. The 2009-2010 Golf Captains, Darren Thorpe and Dot Butler, led the fund raising as part of their captaincy year. To read full write up click HERE.
