Exeter Golf and Country Club is a limited company with members and share holders.
It is a condition of membership that an adult member (18 years old+) holds at least 10 shares in the Exeter Golf and Country Club Ltd and are entitled to a discount off their subscription of 5p for every £1 share held. The maximum permitted shareholding is 5,000 shares per person but in the case of shares being held in the joint names of two members it is 10,000 shares.
You can be involved as much or as little as you likeExeter Golf and Country Club has a Board of eight non executive directors elected from the membership led by the Chairman who are responsible for the finances of the club. The General Manager takes direction from the Board and attends all sections committees and forums with the Department Heads.
Each sports section and department of the Club has a regular committee or forum for members to attend and air their opinions, ideas and suggestions on how their section is run.
Each sections committee also decides and helps plan their annual events, be it a Dinner Dance, Charity Event, Open Day or Competition.
Every member has the chance to be a play a key role in the running of their club.
