Club History
Exeter Golf and Country Club has been established in the present location in Exeter since 1929.
Exeter Golf And Country Club was designed by the famous James Braid. Situated in the beautiful grounds belonging to the magnificent mansion which is now the clubhouse. Braid found the rich Devon soil perfect for golf and he took great care to leave some of the fine old trees intact. The Oaks, Limes, Redwoods and Horse Chestnuts helped him to lay out a magnificent golf course.
About the Club
We are truly a family sports and social club with facilities for young and old, offering an extensive range of activities throughout the year. A great opportunity for all the family to learn and play sport in a social environment second to none in the area.
The Club is managed by a limited company which is administered by a Board of non excutive directors who are made up of members of the Club, all members have to be shareholders in the limited company. Each Section has a committee who are elected by the members of that section to represent them, and the Chairpersons or Captains of each Section Committee sit on the Club Committee which oversee's the members interests and is chaired by the Club President.
