The part-time Assistant Greenkeeper will working alongside the Golf Course Course Manager, Deputy Course Manager and other Greenkeepers, to ensure that the golf course is kept in a first class playing condition and that it, and the surrounding areas within the boundaries of the Club, are tidy, well presented and maintained.

Both qualified and unqualified applicants are welcome, as ongoing training will be provided for a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual with a desire for outdoor work, hard work and a keen eye for detail.

Job Description

The Assistant Greenkeeper is expected to understand the requirements involved in maintaining a quality golf course and will work with the team to maintain all playing surfaces (Greens, Aprons, Fairways, Tees, Semi and Surrounds, Primary Rough, Ecology Rough and practice facilities).

The job role will involve the following:

Key responsibilities:

Cut tees, greens, surrounds, fairways rough and semi-rough.

Set up the course including changing holes.

Aerating and irrigating turf.

Maintaining bunkers.

Driving a tractor with implements.

Maintaining trees and shrubs on the golf course.

Communicating effectively.

Be experienced in the industry

Be personable and hard-working with a keen eye for detail

Self-motivated.

Punctual.

The ability to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.

Be able to use initiative when lone working.

Have knowledge of the game of golf.
