French Dinner at Wear Park Restaurant

With a deep passion for food and the provenance of ingredients, French cuisine is legendary within the culinary world. A style of cooking that doesn’t welcome shortcuts, French menus celebrate the very best of its regions in each of the seasons.

The three course French Dinner at Wear Park Restaurant pays homage to some of the classic dishes of French bistro food.




Moules mariniére with crusty bread
French onion soup, gruyére and mustard crouton
Pork rillettes, cornichons, toasted sour dough
Duck liver parfait, Normandy cider chutney, brioche toast
Twice-baked cheese soufflé, endive, pine nut and crouton salad


Bouillabaisse of cod and salmon, Lyonnaise potatoes, French beans, aioli crouton
Beef bourguignon, pomme purée, confit carrots
Chicken and wild mushroom ballotine, Dauphinoise potatoes, tenderstem broccoli, shallot and thyme jus
Baked aubergine, ratatouille, Lyonnaise potatoes


Crêpe suzette, orange, Grand Marnier, vanilla seed ice cream
Dark chocolate and raspberry mousse, sorbet, tuille biscuit
Apple tarte tatin, Calvados ice cream
Cardamon crème brûlée, shortbread
Selection of French cheeses, celery, grapes, walnuts, wafer thins
