Fitness Membership

There are over 80 fitness classes each week at Exeter Golf and Country Club, including yoga, spin, HIIT, circuits and a range of Les Mills classes; BodyPump, BodyAttack, GRIT, Barre, BodyCombat and CXWORX.

Unlimited exercise classes are included as standard in full Fitness Membership, however club members are also welcome to book classes on a pay as you go basis, for £5 per session.

Whether you are a gym-goer, runner, cyclist, tennis player, golfer or even a mountain climber, adding a couple of classes to your weekly fitness programme will have benefits of your performance, physique and even your well-being. Our classes are super social, so you may even find yourself enjoying a coffee after with others in your class.

 

class Studios

Fitness classes and yoga takes place in the Main Studio for a maximum of 10 people per class.
All spin classes; Les Mills RPM, Les Mills Sprint and Les Mills The Trip take place in our new Spin Studio.

COVID SAFETY

Please remember to bring a full water bottle and ensure you use the hand sanitiser available for free in the gym and studios, plus wipe your equipment with the anti-bacterial spray we supply. We have increased cleaning schedules throughout gym and fitness studio.

For yoga, please remember your yoga mat, cushion, block and strap – if required (not essential).

PILATES

BASI pilates is a precise form of pilates that focuses on specific muscle recruitment through all ranges of movement for a strong and balanced body. The class focuses on sports performance, especially cycling, and injury prevention.

Step into a BODYCOMBAT workout and you’ll punch and kick your way to fitness, burning up to 740 calories** along the way. A LES MILLS instructor will challenge you to up the intensity and motivate you to make the most of every round. You’ll release stress, have a blast and feel like a champ.

Les Mills BodyAttack is a high-energy fitness class for total beginners to fitness fanatics. Combining athletic movements like running, lunging and jumping with strength exercises such as push-ups and squats. Starting in October

This program hones in on the torso and sling muscles that connect your upper body to your lower body. It’s ideal for tightening your tummy and butt, as well as improving functional strength and assisting in injury prevention.

RPM is a group indoor cycling workout where you control the intensity. It’s fun, low impact, with great music pumping and the group spinning as one, your virtual instructor takes you on a journey of hill climbs, sprints and flat riding.

REPS FOR STRENGTH

A freestyle strength session, as an alternative to our ever-popular class, Les Mills BodyPump. Focusing on the specific needs of those in the class, using a combination of barbells, free weights and body weight to build strength and stamina.

CIRCUITS

Build your fitness, lose weight and improve your core strength with this cardiovascular high impact resistance class. If you’re looking for a boost to your training, this super-charged class is fast and challenging.
