The 412 par 4 8th hole is arguably the toughest par 4 on the front nine and one that shows off the history of the club. The hole moves from right to left with a shot that needs to favour the right hand side as left will leave you blocked out. Walking off the tee around 100 yards if you turn at a 45* angle you will see the rows of trees that used to be the old driveway to the old manor house now called Wear Park. These trees came through the estate and the drive way finished in front of our famous white clubhouse. The 2nd shot is downhill slightly with bunkers protecting the green.
