This weekend Exeter Golf and Country Club’s Men’s Racketball team head up to Birmingham to compete in the National Racketball Club Championships Finals.  Following the second of year success for the Men’s Squash Team finishing top of the Devon Cup and Devon League championship, the Men’s Racketball Team have set their sights for the national championships.

Exeter Golf and Country Club’s Men’s Racketball Team have battled their way to the national finals, overcoming Winchester Rackets and also top Birmingham side Edgbaston Priory against the run of seeding. They are set to play Shrewsbury on Saturday in the semi-final, with the winning team going through to the big final on Sunday.

Mike Harris, Squash and Racketball Professional at Exeter Golf and Country Club said, “Reaching the national finals is an incredible achievement from the team which consists of club members Mike Gregory, Simon Irvin and Tim Gillingham and myself, with previous round support from Chris Goodwill and Tom Wilson.

“Fingers crossed we can keep our run of wins going on Saturday against Shrewsbury in the Semi Final. Huge thanks must go to Nexus Open Systems, the team’s highly supportive sponsor!”
