Quick Fitness Plans for the New Year

The New Year is usually the time for self-reflection. The common New Year’s resolutions to get fit and lose weight lead to a surge in people joining gyms, enlisting the help of a personal trainer or taking up a crazy fad diet. Whilst the gym and personal trainers (and a sensible diet) are great ways to kick-start your 2017 resolution, you can make a big difference yourself, in your own home. The Gym and Fitness Team at Exeter Golf and Country Club have shared three quick work-outs you can do in your living room, and best of all, they are super quick.

HIIT FAT BURNER
Repeat each move for 20 seconds, four times with a 10 second rest between
High Knees
Squat Jumps
Burpee
Reverse Crunch
Mountain Climber
Reverse Lunge
Press Up
Bicycle Sit Up

FULL BODY TONER
25 x Press Ups
50 x Squats
50 x Shoulder Press
50 x Upright Row
50 x Pull Downs
50 x Calf Raises
25 x Press Ups

STRENGTH – USING KETTLEBELLS
