The short game area at the Topsham Golf Academy is open.
Golf members of Exeter Golf and Country Club are now able to use the short game area, four days a week, until the Topsham Golf Academy fully opens in the near future.
The Reception is also open, with the Pro Shop team on hand to for coaching, plus to show members the teaching studio and golf range areas that are currently being completed.
Darren Everett, Director of Golf said, “The short game area is a superb practice facility and we will be able to show you how to best use the facility on your visit. With varying length artificial grass on each of the chipping bods as well as an option of slopes, it will provide you with a supreme area to practice those all important score saving shots. The putting green is a pure rolling surface with a slight incline to help you structure your practice to golf course scenarios. If bunkers are a weakness then you have no excuse not to improve your technique, as the practice bunker is perfectly designed for you to learn to love the sand!”
Golf members can take a selection of short game clubs and their own balls to practice with on the short game area.
RULES OF THE SHORT GAME AREA
Maximum of four balls must be used within your practice session.
Once you have hit some bunker shots please rake the bunker before leaving so it is left in the correct condition for the next golfer.
Please be aware of the car park and reduce, where possible, the possibility of any balls being hit into the car park area.
