Fitness Classes

Group exercise and fitness classes are more popular than ever.

You can choose from over 36 classes each week at Exeter Golf and Country Club. With high impact, conditioning, dance, sport and holistic classes to choose from, there really is something for everyone.

Whether you are new to exercise or super fit, classes are a great choice. Our instructors are welcoming and will keep you motivated, varying the intensity or level according to your ability. Fitness classes and group exercise, such as our running club and group personal training, are always fun, safe and effective, and give you a consistent schedule to keep your fitness on track.

Fitness classes are free for Fitness Members.

Sweat soaked, lung burning & fun filledHigh Intensity

Body Pump

The original Les Mills Weight class for anyone looking to get lean, toned and fit – fast. A total body workout using light to moderate weights in scientifically proven moves and techniques.

Cardio Tennis

Improve stamina, fitness and strength targeting the muscle groups vital to improve your tennis technique with this court based exercise class to music.

Circuits

Build your fitness, lose weight and improve your core strength with this cardiovascular high impact resistance class. If you’re looking for a boost to your training, this super-charged class is fast and challenging.

HIIT/Insanity

The ultimate cardio workout with phenomenal results. Heart pumping, fat-busting, muscle-shredding, sweat dripping, high intensity total body workout uses your own body weight as resistance. Max interval training techniques to burn up to 1,000 calories an hour, build muscle and improve your stamina.

Running Club

A weekly club open to all members. Meet in the gym for a 45 minute run at a pace to suit the group. Suitable for beginners and intermediates. One on one running is also available with our running expert and to really push you further.

Studio Spin

Our new top of the range Bluetooth bikes revolutionise spin classes. This vigorous workout burns calories and keeps muscles in top shape. Low impact, endurance training to strengthen the mind as well as the body. A positive ‘can-do’ attitude is needed to get you up those hills!

Aerobics

A choreographed low impact cardiovascular workout to build stamina and tone up. Inclusive and upbeat, aerobics is a great workout, for all ages, abilities and experience.

Aqua Aerobics

Low impact conditioning exercises in the swimming pool. Gentle on the joints, while improving muscle tone, strength and fitness.

Legs, bums and tums

A full aerobic workout to tone up and shape your curves with conditioning cardio exercise.

Yoga for sports

Developed to combat the stress of sports on body, this yoga class focussed on core, arm and leg strength and improving flexibility.

Zumba

A fusion of Latin and International dance featuring a combination of fast and slow rhythms to help tone and sculpt to body.

Stretch, relax & strengthenHolistic

Hatha Yoga

Improve posture and flexibility, lengthen and tone muscles and build strength and stamina through a deeper awareness of your body.

Pilates

Develop core stability and improve body alignment through focussed strength work and stretching. Pilates can be booked in advance as a course, or available as a one-off session
