Fitness Classes

Our Exeter fitness classes and group exercise classes are more popular than ever.

You can choose from over 40 exercise classes each week at Exeter Golf and Country Club. With high impact, conditioning, dance, sport and holistic classes to choose from, there really is something for everyone.

Whether you are new to exercise or you’re super fit, exercise classes are a great choice. Our instructors are welcoming and will keep you motivated, varying the intensity or level according to your ability. Fitness classes and group exercise, such as our running club and group personal training, are always fun, safe and effective, and give you a consistent schedule to keep your fitness on track.

Fitness classes are free for Fitness Members.

Sweat soaked, lung burning & fun filledHigh Intensity

Ab Attack

A quick fire killer workout to flatten and tone your abs. 30 minutes of intense core strengthening focusing on abs, obliques and lower back.

Box Fit

A full body workout focusing on both strength and cardio. Using boxing techniques the explosive movements develop muscle and reflexes. A fun yet super effective workout – feel it in your core, arms and shoulders.

Cardio Tennis

Improve stamina, fitness and strength targeting the muscle groups vital to improve your tennis technique with this court based exercise class to music.

Circuits

Build your fitness, lose weight and improve your core strength with this cardiovascular high impact resistance class. If you’re looking for a boost to your training, this super-charged class is fast and challenging.

HBK 15

If you want to feel the burn, this is for you. A full force, sweat pumping combo of HIIT, Boxfit and Kettlebells, with 15 fat-busting minutes of each – with no let up.

HIIT

The ultimate cardio workout with phenomenal results. Heart pumping, fat-busting, muscle-shredding, sweat dripping, high intensity total body workout uses your own body weight as resistance. Max interval training techniques to burn up to 1,000 calories an hour, build muscle and improve your stamina.

LES MILLS Body Attack

BODYATTACK is a high-energy fitness class with moves that cater for total beginners to total addicts. We combine athletic movements like running, lunging and jumping with strength exercises such as push-ups and squats. is a great way to build cardio fitness and burn calories while you shape and tone your entire body.  By improving overall athleticism you increase your body’s ability to effectively burn calories while you do any exercise.

Aerobics

A choreographed low impact cardiovascular workout to build stamina and tone up. Inclusive and upbeat, aerobics is a great workout, for all ages, abilities and experience.

Aqua Aerobics

Low impact conditioning exercises in the swimming pool. Gentle on the joints, while improving muscle tone, strength and fitness.

Core Attack

A full aerobic workout to tone up and shape your curves with conditioning cardio exercise.

Family Circuits

Start ’em young and they’ll be fit for life. Here’s our introductory circuits class for all the family. Bring your children along for a fun but effective work out to develop speed, agility, balance and muscle strength. Suitable for children from 5 years old with an adult.

Zumba

A fusion of Latin and International dance featuring a combination of fast and slow rhythms to help tone and sculpt to body.

Stretch, relax & strengthenHolistic

Conditioning Yoga

Suitable for beginners to advanced, Howard has developed rehabilitative yoga using traditional Hatha asanas for injury prevention and recovery. Good for day to day strains through to sports injuries injuries for increased flexibility and range, focusing on strengthening the core.
