Whether you’re a competitive tennis player or just getting started, we have the tennis club membership for you.
Our six outdoor floodlit tennis courts surrounded by the listed Victorian wall of the original garden have just been refurbished and are in pristine condition. Tennis members can enjoy informal tennis at our Club Nights and social tournaments, learn to play with our team of coaches or take part in competitive league tennis.
Perhaps finish off an early evening game with a Pimms on the terrace of the restaurant? You can’t get much more ‘English’ than that. If the winter months prove too wet to play outdoors, then pop inside and try your hand at squash or racketball, both are included in the Rackets membership, along with swimming in our indoor and outdoor pools.
The best place to start is our popular Thursday Club Night. Running from 6.00pm this coach-led social doubles session is open to players of all abilities and is a great way to get to know other members.
Over the summer and winter seasons we have over 20 teams competing in the Exeter and District and East Devon Tennis Leagues so there is plenty of opportunity for everyone who would like to participate in competitive league tennis. We also have junior teams from 8U to 18U taking part in the National League in the summer season.
We run regular competition for juniors at all levels. The Nexus Junior Tour, set up in partnership with Devon Tennis, provided more opportunities for juniors in the county aged 11-16 and won the 2019 Devon Tennis Competition of the Year Award.
Adults can take part in sessions including ladies coaching, Tennis Xpress, team coaching and adult drills/matchplay.
There are plenty of opportunities for players of all ages and abilities to get involved in tennis at the club.
There is plenty on offer for junior members as well. Our Saturday morning sessions are a great introduction to tennis for juniors of any age, as well as our regular Tennis for Kids sessions. We also run a busy weekday programme with squads for all age groups, matchplay sessions and the opportunity to arrange individual lessons.
